Gwendolyn holds an LLB from the University of Edinburgh and an LLM in Human Rights Law from the University of Strathclyde. She is currently completing the Legal Practice Course at the Malawi Institute of Legal Education. Gwendolyn focuses on the area of Environmental Social Governance.
Gwendolyn has acted in advising clients on multijurisdictional employment, labour, and child labour laws. She has also acted in conducting due diligence for international clients in mergers and acquisitions in corporate structure and labour laws amongst others. Gwendolyn has further given preliminary advice on project finance for a newly established energy company.
Locally, Gwendolyn has acted for several banks as well as business corporations in debt collection and recovering assets. She also acts as lead for several family and employment matters.

Being part of the team for MyBucks Banking Corporation Limited in several debt collection matters for defaulting clients.
Acting for CDH Investment Bank Limited in a debt collection matter for a defaulting client.
Assisting China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation [Mw] Ltd in employment and labour disputes.
Reviewed United Purpose’s conditions of service and advised on the restructuring of the terms and conditions of service. Further provided guidance on how to conduct consultations in line with the relevant laws in Malawi.
Conducting corporate due diligence for a merger and acquisition between Spear Capital and Arkay Plastic Industry Limited.
Assisting SC Yiannakis Limited in recovering assets form a defaulting client.
