Power challenges, shortage of petroleum products in or around 2012  and the discovery of some parcels of minerals in Malawi has spawned quite some legal literature in terms of regulation, export trade, taxation regime, transportation and foreign exchange remittances.

Ahmed Mussa and Gwendolyn Nkalapa practice in this service sector. Ahmed holds a Master of Laws degree from the University of Cape Town majoring in the extractives industry. He has vetted, drafted, and advised on several independent power producer contracts, EPC and O&M contracts and financing of the said transactions.
